Beginner Class:
This is the first introduction to obedience for young dogs over the age
of sic months, who have had no previous structured training.
Level II:
Successfully completing puppy or beginner is a prerequisite for this

Socialization
Make sure your dog comes in contact with:
- Adults of both sexes (this teaches the
dog how to adapt to stress so he/she is friendly and safe toward
visitors/strangers)
- Children - which includes interacting
and playing
with them (this helps the dog to become secure and calm with children
so it does not react aggressively to them)
Make sure your dog becomes accustomed to:
- Different types of surfaces: soft,
hard, rough etc.
- Stairs, confined places (elevators),
slippery floors
and uneven surfaces. It is good to acquaint dogs with different types
of surfaces so they feel safe wherever they are walking
- Motors, vacuum cleaners, kitchen
appliances, cars and
city-noises and smells. This will get your dog used to its surroundings
which will give him/her self-confidence
- Visual appearances and moving objects
such as sheets or balls
- Interaction with other puppies. Go to
puppy
playgrounds or obedience training where they can play with other dogs
around their age
