Dr. Bassey

I graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in June 2017. I was born and raised in Winnipeg and always wanted to return to practice in the community. I have a special interest in surgery, dentistry and feline medicine.

I grew up taking my own pets to Centennial and volunteered as a student before getting accepted for vet school. I’m happy to be able to return doing what I always wanted to do.

I’m interested in community medicine and participated in Spay & Neuter outreach programs in Saskatoon and Northern Saskatchewan during my time in school. I aim to continue to be a part of community outreach programs.

I’m Fear Free Certified and believe in making veterinary care visits as low stress as possible through gentle handling and positive reinforcement.

My hobbies include golfing, hiking, travelling and horseback riding. I have a horse named Boo.

At home, I have 2 Maine Coons named Arthur and Simon.
